Family house in Plunge

This modern concrete house with water view presents a compelling vision of minimalist living in nature. Architects Laurynas Avyžius and Justina Čivinskaitė, together with Bobak Studio (renders), designed this proposal to blend bold architecture with a peaceful landscape.

Set in a lush, green environment, the house uses concrete to create a strong yet understated presence. Its clean geometry and low profile allow it to sit comfortably in the natural setting. At the same time, large glass surfaces invite the outdoors inside, framing views of the surrounding trees and nearby water.

The layout focuses on single-floor functionality, with clearly defined zones for both social and private life. The open-plan kitchen, dining, and living areas promote easy movement and daily interaction. Meanwhile, bedrooms and bathrooms are arranged for privacy and rest.

A key feature of this design is the terrace overlooking the water. This space extends the interior into the landscape, offering a perfect spot for relaxation or outdoor gatherings. Thanks to its orientation, the house connects strongly with its surroundings from every angle.

Moreover, the minimalist approach emphasizes quality over quantity. Materials like concrete, wood, and glass work together to create a cohesive, timeless look. Every element serves a clear purpose, from layout to material selection.

This proposal illustrates how modern architecture can work with nature, not against it. The house is not only visually striking but also designed for a lifestyle rooted in clarity, calm, and connection.
